Buyer requirement guide
Electric tricycle cargo RFQ decisions made visible
A useful brief does not need every answer, but it must distinguish fixed requirements from open choices. CargoTri Source helps business buyers turn duty, configuration, quantity and delivery needs into questions that candidate manufacturers can answer on a comparable basis.
Start Your RFQ Brief
Write the brief in three linked layers
Duty profile
Record who rides, expected load, route distance, surface, gradients, stopping pattern, weather exposure, storage and daily charging window. If portability matters, provide target cargo-body dimensions and lifting constraints. If fleet use is repeated, describe shift frequency and who performs charging and inspection.
Configuration profile
State cargo-body format, desired motor architecture, speed class, brake type, wheel and tire size, lighting, display, battery type, nominal and usable capacity, connector and charger input. Mark acceptable alternatives and require suppliers to show how each alternative changes range basis, weight, price or service scope.
Delivery profile
Provide configuration quantities, destination state or port, Incoterm, requested window, packing method, manuals, labels, sample and inspection needs. List exact-model documents to be reviewed and keep destination approvals outside the supplier-shortlisting decision until qualified parties assess applicability.
Resolve these choices before accepting an alternative
Is nominal battery capacity enough?
No. Request usable capacity, chemistry, connector, charger power and the conditions behind any range result. Actual route performance changes with rider load, speed, temperature, stops and gradients.
Does a higher motor rating fit every duty?
No. Compare motor and controller as a system with speed limits, gradients, thermal conditions, battery demands and destination requirements. More headline power may add cost or energy demand without solving the intended task.
How should cargo-body designs be evaluated?
Request body construction, door or hatch method, cargo-body dimensions and inspection guidance. A sample procedure can record door closure, play, cable routing and alignment after repeated cycles, but production acceptance still needs an agreed inspection scope.
What belongs in the target budget?
State currency and per-unit or total-order basis. Say whether customization, sample, inspection, packing, inland transport, freight, duty and destination services are included. High-end, mid-range, budget and undecided are preference labels, not verified supplier grades.
Can this service approve US use?
No. Ask for evidence tied to the exact electric cargo tricycle category, model, configuration and model year, then obtain qualified destination-side review. Supplier or family documents alone do not establish import, registration or regulatory acceptance.
Send confirmed facts and label every open choice
Include a product reference link if useful, without implying affiliation. We use the brief to organize comparable factory questions. Current MOQ, sample terms, price, availability, documents and lead stages remain subject to supplier confirmation.
